The Ukiah Photography Club, founded in 2010 by Chris Pugh and Judy Judd, is a group of Mendocino County digital and film photographers representing a range of styles, experience, and expertise. The Club’s monthly meetings and periodic outings include instruction, photo critiques, and lively discussions.
Most events are free. Individual members are responsible for any food or entrance fee expenses. Occasionally the Club travels for photo shoots or exhibits, usually by car pool with riders offsetting gas costs.
Membership is $25 per year, paid directly to the Club. The dues are used to pay for website costs, a portion of the show expenses, and other miscellaneous Club expenses. Paid membership is required for participation in the Club’s annual show, usually in September. Participants also cover part of the cost of the show.
Currently the Club meets on the first Sunday of the month at 11:00 AM at Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Ukiah (note: April 2020 meeting cancelled due to coronavirus; see Events page for updates). Members are asked to RSVP for all meetings and events. This helps the Organizers to insure that there is adequate meeting space, transportation, etc. Visitors are always welcome.
The strength of the Club is in its diversity – professional and amateur, old-timer and newcomer, digital and film, color and black & white, landscape and still life, portrait and abstract – even Nikon and Canon. Whether you jump in with both feet or slide in incrementally, your participation will make the Club even stronger.
Welcome to the Ukiah Photography Club!
